Crops Quality for marketing

  • Those attributes of crops or commodities that make it agreeable to the persons who buy and eat it
  • Attributes of quality involve:
  • Color, flavor, Texture, Nutritional value ,form and grade
  • Free from : Pests, microbes and their products
  • Chemical parameters such as oil content, acidity, protein, moisture, and presence of toxins, millet, maize and rice;

 

Marketing plan

The marketing plan should typically have the following essential elements

  1. They state the results expected from enterprise
  1. They specify their sources needed to implement the enterprise strategies.
  1. Situation analysis.
  1. Statement of marketing objectives and goals
  1. They indicate the necessary activities and the sequence in which they are to be performed

Marketing Information

  • Information means relevant data which helps the user to reduce uncertainty in decision making.
  • Data has to be gathered and transformed into information for decision making
  • .Some information is available from internal sources within the business
  • Other can only be obtained from external sources.
  • Marketing information system (MIS) consists of people, equipment and procedures to gather, sort, analyze, evaluate and distribute needed, timely and accurate information for marketing decision makers.
  • Market information can be collected from various sources so as to ensure appropriate decisions are undertaken.
  • Informal sources of information include suppliers, customer’s media books and other stakeholders.
