Bambara Nuts
Planting
- Bambara groundnut can be planted from late October, through November to early December, after good rains.
- Space ridges at 90 cm or 75 cm apart
- Plant one seed per station spaced at 15 cm apart on the ridges
- Where plant on flat is necessary, space planting rows 45 cm apart and plant one seed per planting station spaced 15 cm on each row.
- 45 x 15 cm spacing gives higher yield than 90 x 15 cm
- Seed rate of 100 to 110 kg per hectare is used.
