Setts of Ginger are used as plant materials. Sowing should be done with the first rains in rows 30 cm apart and 25 cm between plants. Planting with the first rains is very important as a delay of one week may result in yield losses of up to 1,000 kg per hectare.
YIELD AND SEEDRATE
In order to improve both yields and quality, the recommended amount of setts should be planted. The seed rate varies from 1,200 to 1,800 kg per hectare.
